You're right, Jen. Television news is pretty much done. Even the shows that pretend to be serious can't stick to substantive issues -- they all want to be People Magazine.

So I read my WSJ, check a few blogs, and look at the withholding on my paycheck -- tells me most of what I need to know about the world. The most important stuff doesn't make it to the newspapers or TV news programs anyway.

It has been snowing off and on all day around here. Come to think of it, it's been snowing off and on all month around here. And none of it has melted. I should really shovel my driveway. It's damn-near impassable by now.
